One Degree cafe has been known to offer some of the best coffee in town. And throughout winter, they’ve extended this offering through their winter addition, their pop-up in the middle of the desert started in January. A spot perfect for UAE residents looking to get a dose of sunset, nature and live entertainment with their coffee.

One degree offers a different experience during the winter time. It’s located in the desert at the Dubai-Sharjah border and is a 40-minute drive from Dubai.

With a lot of seating options from sofas, chairs and seating on the floor. The fairy lights, Persian carpets, a vintage television and radio, a light-up mirror and swing are the elements that make the place unique, eluding a Bohemian-vintage style. Seating options are also diverse from sofas to chairs and canopies on the sand.

“It’s so good and refreshing. I would recommend it, it's perfect for people who are not so into coffee because the chocolate is overshadowing the coffee,” explained Atallah.”

The menu has a variety of options from hot to cold drinks that are affordable alongside three different types of dessert, tiramisu, cheesecake, and mango mousse. Acai is also available as a more health-conscious choice.

Coffee and desert can also be enjoyed while experiencing One Degree’s live Tanura dance, fire show as well as an instrumental band; all of which make the space more family-friendly. The performance timings in the weekday is from 7pm to 9pm and in the weekend 5:30pm and 9pm.

“I love that this is a space where you can go alone but also with your friends, on dates, and it is even kid friendly. I told my sister to go with her husband and kids,” says Atallah, who considers One Degree as her escape.

“I like to have my own space and somewhere I can escape to. Especially somewhere in nature. This place is perfect as it’s far but accessible. It feels like you’re going on a mini road trip inside Dubai,” she adds.

One Degree’s winter pop-up is open every day from 2pm until midnight. It will be closing after Ramadan, however, it has grown in demand amongst UAE residents like first-time customer, Reem Hassan.

“I think people will request to open again next winter and personally, I would come every winter,” says Reem Hassan.

One Degree also has other locations in the UAE including Jumeira, Dubai and one in Ajman with a third location planned to open soon in Al Warqa.
